Virtual Book Club for Kids: February 2013
This months featured author is Dr Seuss!
We started our day with green eggs and ham for breakfast. Yummy!
We continued our day reading our favorite Dr Seuss books!
Then, we ended on a sweet note. Little D's first candy. He eventually opted to give up the sweet, and try the grass instead :)
See you in March!

Virtual Book Club for Kids: November 2012
November's featured author is Tomie dePaola, and we decided to
read Strega Nona's Harvest. I thought that was appropriate being so
close to Thanksgiving.
I cut open the pumpkin, and let Danny feel around and squish the seeds. He loved it! I think I will be finding pumpkin seeds around the house for awhile to come.

Virtual Book Club for Kids: October 2012
This is our first entry into the book club. I didn't expect a 6 month old to take too much from the experience, but I thought it would be a good starting point. He really seems to enjoy our story times, and looking at the pictures, trying to turn pages, and of course chew on the covers.
October's author was Amy Krouse Rosenthal, and I chose this book; Little Pea.
We read the story several times over several days, and had a good time getting to know the little pea family.
I put Danny in his highchair and washed some pea pods, and showed him the insides and we rolled the little peas around, we talked about the pea family in the story, then I ate the peas :)
At this point, HIS peas had been steaming for about 30 minutes, and I let him watch me submerge them in cold water, and showed him what they looked like all in the blender. We mixed them all up with some water, I strained them, and put them in his little baby food cups. He thought the whole thing was pretty funny. Silly kid. I put some in a bowl, and we tasted our new recipe. The end :)
